Arle Lommel, 27 August 2024Recent advances in neural machine translation (NMT) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) have drastically reduced the cost of translation. However, these automated translation processes can introduce significant risk if they mistranslate content or hallucinate.
This situation is leading many localization groups to treat quality as a function of risk management. The more risk that arises from translation errors, the greater the need for human involvement in translation.
